Project: City Rentals
City Rentals has been renting tools and equipment in Ontario, California since 1968. They decided to add a web site for their business and contacted us to create the design.
We also set up a City Rental Network email system, designed to slowly allow them to move forward using the tools and equipment of the electronic age.
Their original logo featured wheel cogs, which they liked, so we incorporated them into the top-left and bottom-right of all the pages.
We built the entire site in strict XHTML, using only CSS for layout. In addition, the entire site conforms fully to U.S. Section 508 accessibility guidelines. It contains a fixed layout, centered, and all pages are automatically 'printer-friendly' through the use of modern CSS technology.
The most enjoyable aspect of this project was working with the owner and employees of this family-run business. It was a great pleasure and we learned some good information about machinery and tools during the process!
