Dick and Dee Dee are recording artists from the Sixties. Throughout the Sixties, Dick and Dee Dee recorded a total of eight chart singles, five of which made the top 30 nationally. Their most popular recordings were: “The Mountain’s High,” “Tell Me,” “Young and In Love,” “Turn Around” and “Thou Shalt Not Steal.”

Dee Dee wanted us to recreate the official Dick and Dee Dee web site so that it would help launch her personal memoir "Vinyl Highway".

It was designed to match her book design cover by Tobias’ Outerwear for Books. If you haven't seen Tobias' designs, check out http://tobiasdesign.com/. They're incredible.

Dick and Dee Dee Website

This was the original version of the Dick and Dee Dee site which we had designed several years ago.

A two-column expandable design was used and is controlled completely by a strict CSS technology. An ability for site visitors to upload photographs into a database was also added.

The site is of liquid design, meaning that the window stretches across any Web browser window size (similar to this site).  This design technique allows the site to maximize screen real estate in a wide variety of standards-compliant browsers and computer monitor types.

One interesting feature that we added was a fixed-position 45 record image at the bottom of each page. The record image stays at the bottom of each page no matter how large or small the screen is.

This was a fun site to produce and represented a departure from the news and standard business sites we had published previously.
